We know that when we work as one, we move people and communities forward. That’s why we are committed to providing support to our neighbors by providing opportunities for kids, adults and families to give, join in or advocate in the name of stronger communities.
NEED BASED PROGRAM SUPPORTED BY OUR COMMUNITY
The Shasta Family YMCA makes every effort to ensure that no person, especially youth, will be denied access to programs and membership because of financial hardship. The Y’s Financial Assistance Program is supported by contributions to our annual Strong Kids Campaign.
Thanks to the generosity of donors, the Shasta Family YMCA is able to award need-based financial assistance to those who qualify. Aid amounts are based on a sliding-fee scale that takes into account total gross household income and the number of people in the home. This assistance can reduce the cost of membership up to 50% and some on-site youth programs up to 20%, as well as reduce YMCA Afterschool Child Care and Day Camp programs up to 20%. It is our intent that all individuals contribute toward the membership and/or program fees to some extent.

Applications for financial assistance are reviewed as they arrive by a sensitive and respectful Financial Assistance Representative. All applications are kept confidential. For immediate processing, there are financial assistance hours on T, W, Th from 1:30-3:30 p.m. Otherwise, please allow up to 10 days for application processing. Applicants will be notified by email or phone of any decision.
